The cost of manual work

Your best people are spending their time on work a system should do.

Re-keying between systems

The same numbers typed into the ERP, the spreadsheet and the report, with a fresh chance for error each time.

Reconciliations in spreadsheets

Tick-and-tie that stretches the close, and relies on knowledge that sits with only a few people.

Chasing and fixing

Hunting down missing documents, then correcting what the manual steps got wrong.

What we do

Time back for the work that matters.

We streamline and automate the processes that slow your team down, with controls built in, so your people can focus on the work that matters.

Streamline

We start with the process, not the technology. We remove the steps that don't need to exist, so what's left is worth automating.

Automate and connect

We automate the repetitive steps and connect the systems that don't talk to each other, so data moves without anyone re-keying it.

Controls and reporting

Every workflow has checks built in. Problems get flagged before they become errors, and you get reports you can rely on.

Your systems, or better ones

We work with the software you already have. Where it's holding you back, we help you choose and set up something better.

See it in practice

Close & reconciliationsLive demo

Shorten the close by automating the matching, checking, and roll-forwards your team does by hand every month.

Pull the figures out of emails, spreadsheets, invoices and source documents and into your systems, with anything uncertain flagged for a person.

Reporting & analysis

Give leadership reliable numbers sooner, so finance time goes into insight instead of assembly.

  • Management reporting packs
  • Consolidations
  • Budget-to-actual variance

Dashboards & visualization

Interactive dashboards that refresh on their own, so leadership can explore the numbers instead of waiting for the next pack.

Controls & audit trail

Automation that makes your control environment stronger, with evidence captured as the work happens.

Live demo · Receivables

Every deposit, tied out automatically.

A batch deposit lands in the bank feed. The automation breaks it out against each client payment in your CRM, confirms the totals match, and leaves only the exceptions for your team to review.

Illustration: four batch deposits from the bank feed are matched to individual client payments in the CRM; three tie out and one is flagged $50 short. Illustrative concept. Names and figures are examples only.

Live demo · Data extraction

Every document, read and checked.

Remittances arrive by email, sales in spreadsheets, invoices and receipts as PDFs and photos. The automation pulls out the figures, checks they add up, and sends them where they belong. Anything it can't read with confidence goes to a person, not a guess.

Illustration: an emailed remittance, a spreadsheet export, a PDF invoice and a photo of a receipt are read in turn; the figures are pulled out with a confidence score, checked and sent on, except the receipt, whose smudged total goes to a person. Illustrative concept. Names and figures are examples only.

Where to start

Two ways to begin.

Look across your whole finance function first, or start with the one workflow you already know is costing you.

Start with an assessment

We review your systems, workflows and controls across the function, and show you how much of the work can be automated, where it will pay off and where it won't.

  • What can be automated reliably, and what should stay manual
  • Which processes can be streamlined without changing your technology
  • An estimated fixed price for each piece, ranked by impact
  • A report ready for your board or leadership team

A stand-alone service with a fixed scope. The report is yours to keep, with no commitment to automate anything.

Book an assessment

Start with one workflow

Tell us the workflow. We map how it runs today, fix the process where necessary, and give you a fixed price to automate it.

  • Built around the systems you already use
  • Tested in a sandbox, then in your own environment
  • Runs parallel to your current process until both agree

A short scoping conversation comes first, so the price is fixed before anything is built.

Our approach

How it works.

Clear steps, so you always know what's happening, what it costs and who's responsible.

  1. 01

    Understand

We learn how the work gets done today, and what it costs you in time and errors.

  2. 02

    Simplify

We look for ways to streamline the process first, then recommend the simplest way to automate the rest, at a fixed price.

  3. 03

    Build and prove

A CPA reviews every workflow, then it runs parallel to your current system until both give the same answer.

  4. 04

    Hand over

You receive full documentation and everything you need to run the system yourself. From there, we can maintain it for you or step away cleanly.

Security & confidentiality

Security from the first conversation.

You're trusting us with your books, your bank feeds and your team's work. Protecting them is designed into everything we build, not added at the end.

Before we start

  • Agreement firstNo data is shared or transferred until a data processing agreement is signed, under Alberta's PIPA and PIPEDA.
  • Every use and flow of data, trackedFor each workflow, we set out what data it uses, where it goes and why, and review it before anything runs.

While it runs

  • Your data stays with you where possibleWhen a workflow needs an outside service, like a cloud platform or an AI model, we tell you which one and why. We only use services we've reviewed for security, including their SOC 2 report.
  • Your accounts, your controlEvery account in your name stays yours, including any AI account.
  • MonitoredIf there's a problem, monitoring alerts you straight away.

When we're done

  • A clean exit, planned on day oneYour data is returned or deleted, and our access is revoked.
  • Fully documentedYou receive an operating manual, a map of each workflow and a list of every account and key, so you always know how your system works and who can access it.

Questions

What finance leaders ask us first.

Don’t see yours? Ask us directly.

Getting started

Where do we start?

Wherever suits you. If you're not sure what's worth automating, start with an assessment: we review your workflows and show what can be automated, what it would cost and what to fix first. If you already know which workflow you want automated, we scope that workflow, fix the process where necessary, and agree a fixed price before anything is built. Either way, you see results early. See where to start ↑

How much does it cost?

We don't charge by the hour. Once we understand the work, you get a fixed price for defined deliverables, agreed before anything is built.

Do we need to replace our current systems?

No. We work with the ERP, spreadsheets and tools your team already uses, and we'll tell you if something you already pay for can do the job. Where a system is genuinely holding you back, we'll say so and help you choose and set up something better.

How it works

Can everything be automated?

No, and we'll tell you when it can't. Repetitive, rule-based work, like bank matching and allocations, automates reliably. Tasks that need judgment, like accruals or revenue recognition, can't be fully automated, but we can automate the work around them, so your team starts from a prepared draft to review and approve.

How do you know it gets the right answer?

A CPA reviews a map of exactly what each workflow does before anything runs. Every workflow is then heavily stress-tested, first in a sandbox and then in your own environment, and runs parallel to your current process until both give the same result.

Do you use AI in the workflows you build?

No, unless a workflow needs a level of reasoning that ordinary rules can't handle, like reading a messy email or a smudged receipt. Most of what we build is plain code with clear rules. Where AI is used, anything it isn't sure of goes to a person for review.

How do you handle controls and audit requirements?

Controls are part of the design from the first conversation, with review points and segregation of duties where they apply.

Working with us

Who will we actually be working with?

You work directly with a CPA. The person scoping your workflows understands debits, credits and close deadlines, so you won't spend time translating accounting into technology. A CPA reviews every workflow before it's tested, and signs off on its controls before it goes live.

What happens after it goes live?

You receive everything you need to run, understand or move on from the system: an operating manual, a list of every account and key, a map of each workflow, a recorded walkthrough and a care schedule. If there's a problem, monitoring alerts you straight away. From there, we can keep the system running for you, or step away cleanly.

Who owns what you build?

Everything that runs in your accounts is yours, with full documentation of how it works. We keep our own source code.

What if we stop working with you?

The way out is planned from day one. Your data is returned or deleted, our access is revoked, and everything that runs in your accounts stays yours, with the documentation to keep it going.
